


Anika Paris is a CRIA double-platinum award-winning songwriter and recipient of both the prestigious ASCAP Abe Oleman Scholarship and the HOLA Award for Best Music in a Musical. Her multifaceted career spans music, film, and television, with collaborations across major labels and studios including EDEL, Sony RED, Warner Bros., Universal, Polygram, and APM. Anika composed the score for the documentary Light Years, and her distinctive voice and songs have been featured in acclaimed productions such as Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, Sex and the City, Bounce, WiseGirls, So You Think You Can Dance, and See Jane Date. As the only female composer for WB Telepictures, her work has been licensed by top networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, Lifetime, HBO, Oxygen, and MTV.
Holding a BA in Film and Music, Anika brings a dynamic and cinematic approach to her compositions for theater, television, film, and contemporary music. She has released five solo albums, all in collaboration with her longtime co-writer and producer, Dean Landon.
Anika is also a published author and poet. Her two influential books—Making Your Mark in Music and Five Star Music Makeover (Hal Leonard)—are widely used by aspiring artists and educators. Her poetry has been featured in multiple anthologies, and she is among the chosen poets for the Lunar Codex Athena mission to the moon.
A passionate educator, Anika has taught at the Musicians Institute and currently teaches at the Grammy Sessions and UCLA Extension Entertainment Studies. She serves on the board of the Musicians Foundation and is a proud voting member of NARAS (The Grammys).
